Primary Candidate Profile: Wendy Bozel, for Mayor




In 1-2 sentences, explain why you are running for Mayor and what motivated you to seek this position.


Currently, and for the past 10 years, I am a Baltimore City Public Schools Teacher. It is time for a leader who is in the trenches and knows first hand what needs to be done to change Baltimore now.


In 1-2 sentences, describe how your background and/or previous experience has prepared you to serve as Mayor?


I was a Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Cerebral Palsy and as Coordinator 10 years for Nielsen TV Ratings before switching careers to help children by becoming a Baltimore City Teacher. These experiences will help me as Baltimore City Mayor.


 What are your top 3 priorities or key goals if elected as Mayor?


 Improving Education, Crime and Housing


What do you see as the most pressing issue facing Baltimore residents right now?

When I am Mayor of Baltimore City, you will see a mayor that works tirelessly in the community to bring hope and solutions to problems facing the people of Baltimore. My vison of Baltimore is a vibrant city that has low crime, is clean, has an excellent school system, where everyone has a place to live, and enough food to eat. All of Baltimore - North, South, East and West - will be places everyone wants to visit. We will be a model for the rest of the country. Baltimore will truly be "Charm City."
